Overview
Sam Duong is a Master of Science student in Urban Analytics at Georgia Tech, where he integrates data science, spatial analysis, and policy research to address urban equity challenges. With a background in Computer Information Systems and concentration in Big Data Analytics from Georgia State University, Sam brings a multidisciplinary approach to community-based research, focusing on topics such as housing instability, environmental vulnerability, and infrastructure sustainability. Sam is particularly passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights for underserved communities. He is also driven by the potential of emerging technologies, including automation and AI to improve decision making in public sector systems. By applying these tools ethically and equitably, he hopes to apply these tools to real world urban systems, ensuring they are leveraged ethically to build stronger and more resilient communities.
